Airline, senior citizens agree on compensation

GEORGE TOWN: A group of senior citizens whose luggage arrived later then them during a holiday trip in March are finally happy that the issue has been resolved.

Society of Action Generation of Elders (SAGE) Chin Sek Ham told theSun that the airline has agreed to compensate them after consulting the management on the issue.

After all the ordeal we went through, we are satisfied and happy it has been resolved , he said.

Chin hopes that this will be a lesson to other airlines to not neglect their customers especially the senior citizens.

He also hoped they can be compensated as soon as possible.

On March 8, Chin and a group of senior citizens flew to India for a holiday but the luggage belonging to 39 of them did not arrive at their destination.

Their luggage finally arrived on March 11, four days after they reached India, and those without luggage had to purchase clothes, medicines and toiletries.
